I could make a ton of excuses, but my stenographer charges by the letter, so I'll try to keep it relatively brief. Personal life tends to get in the way of what's really important, I often say, to include Internet activities. Hence the site is somewhat *cough* in a state of disrepair. So I intend to enact a plan to fix this issue little by little.
Let me start by touching on an issue that I've seen pop up a few times. If you've browsed the site for any significant length of time, you will have found that there is a slew of broken links in every section of the comparisons. This is due to the fact that the episode(s) in question have not yet been compared, or have not yet been uploaded to the web site. This isn't a problem of a missing file, nor is it a PEBKAC error. There simply is no content. I intend to rectify this situation (sounds painful, I know) by simply removing the links until an episode is compared.
This brings me to a second issue: why I haven't been updating. There have been a lot of problems. One of them stems from the fact that my e-mail is HORRIBLE. Anything sent to the Digimon-Uncensored e-mail is received, but has a slew of problems. I often can't download attachments, sometimes I can't access the e-mail, and I almost NEVER am able to send outgoing messages, so if you've sent me an e-mail, don't think I'm ignoring you. If you want to contact me, the best way is to go to the forums and either send me a private message, or post your question somewhere. Aside from the e-mail issue, I also have a tendency to bite off a lot more than I'm technically able to chew. So between my day job, photography company, social life (le gasp!), video games (Skyrim's coming out soon, and I just got the new Professor Layton title, and I'm finally sitting down and playing Infamous after it's been collecting dust in my game case for months), and a video game I am creating on my own (another le gasp!), I tend to get bogged down, and some projects fall by the wayside. Digimon-Uncensored and my photography are the two most common projects to slip through the cracks. I intend to rectify this as well (running out of room up there...)
That said, here is my plan. I will do one comparison every Monday. This means it will be uploaded by Tuesday morning (United States time). Meanwhile, I will continue to upload episodes that strange people like Burton encode and send me. If you have a correction to an episode, post it in the forums or send me a private message. I will verify it and post it up, crediting you by your name on the forums. I would not recommend sending me any e-mails, as that tends to have problems these days.
In other news, I would like to state that I am NOT currently looking for people to do comparisons, but thank you for your interest. Those of you who are currently subscribed to the Digimon-Uncensored RSS feed are not going to get this update, since I lost my username and password to the RSS service I use after my computer's hard drive was wiped, and I have yet to take the time to try and recover it.
Now for actual Digimon-related news. From what I can tell, there's still no word on Xros Wars getting a dub, meaning I may not have anything to make fun of in the near future. (Well, nothing NEW to make fun of...) However, this month, Crunchyroll is going to start streaming subbed episodes of the Anime. And if you didn't know, Xros Wars' plot is significantly more intricate than previous seasons', with the second season Dejimon Kurosu Wozu: Toki o Kakeru Shonen Hanta-tachi (Digimon Xros Wars: Time Travelling Hunter Boys) having started to air as of last month. I may offer summaries of episodes on the site in the near future as well.
And I now return you to your regularly-scheduled empty web space.
